    Hello together

I’m pretty new to 3D printing and just got my Sigma (really nice machine 🙂 I was just wondering if it is possible to manipulate the second extruder during the printing process. For example if I want to use PVA for the support material and I know the slices, where I need the second extruder that I warm it up short before and switch it off afterwards or to push filament through the extruder every couple of minutes to prevent using damaged filament. I know that I can print the tower but this does not seem the best opportunity for me.

Thx for your ideas and suggestions.

    Hi Gleidi,
I think you can edit the gcode with notepad easily. You will see the order for heating the hotend temperature. Just find the Z where you need to cool down or heat the second extruder and change the value. You only need to be sure or having activate the second extruder (T1 order).
There are also some plugins for Cura that could do the job better than editing manually the gcode but I do not personally know them.
